Day 24: I arrived to the Chicago Firefighters Memorial early to our meeting spot for walking into Chicago City Hall! I’m the only one here as I arrived 30 minutes early. It’s raining. You may not be able to tell but I’m sitting in a tree with gigantic thorns, trying to stay dry and a place to rest my tired legs. My pack is in the tree with me, and covered by my poncho. I am watching the news while I’m waiting! As my wife, Wilma, would say, only I could do these things.
