42 degree start for today’s walk after a beautiful breakfast by Tamberlyn Blinsink
which sustained this Californian this morning. What made it colder, was my feet were soaked as the traffic roared by, I had to go into the very wet grass dozens of times to prevent getting hit by a car!
I met the “Hatman” Charles who does different sayings and names uding over 700 donated hats. The saying in the photo with him is: “Back it up Ian.” He was such a nice guy and told me a funny story I may say another time. About 45 minutes later after I said an emotional goodbye, he went to a store and bought me a hot biscuit sandwich to bring to me! This is symbolic of Joe the trip has gone.
I’m now sitting at a beautiful cafe on my way to Cornelius City Hall where Tamberlyn will meet me.
